Members of Squadron A Association enjoy a host of unique benefits not unlike those offered by many of the university-affiliated clubs in New York—a clubhouse with 28 ensuite guest rooms, a reading room, solarium and dining room that offers breakfast, lunch and dinner (Monday through Friday) and a full-service Pub where members can meet friends for drinks at the bar while a mounted New York Hussar smiles down on them.

Squadron A is headquartered in a landmarked, nine-story building conveniently located next to Rockefeller Center and just steps from Fifth Avenue at 3 West 51st Street in New York City. In addition to our speakers’ dinners and new/prospective members’ parties, there are numerous social events scheduled during the year including the February Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show event, A Day at the Races in June at the Belmont Race Track, an early summer garden tour, duck and pheasant shoots, and an annual holiday party that would cheer even Ebenezer Scrooge’s stone heart. In April the Squadron A Foundation also sponsors an inspiring Memorial Service at the Church of the Heavenly Rest to honor our fallen members and is followed by a reception and supper at The Leash.

One of the most significant benefits of membership is the reciprocal arrangements we have with private clubs worldwide. Members of Squadron A have access to some of the finest clubs in Boston, Chicago, San Francisco and abroad – Paris and London for example. Who wouldn’t want to visit the Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club in Paget, Bermuda? Please review our list of reciprocals below and for more information contact our Executive Director, Ms. Julia Nelson, at squadrona.nelson@gmail.com, or at 212-245-7468.
